Hey Shannon,

I had the opportunity to make a bit of artwork this past weekend.  This is a bit out of my usual style and required some suspension of judgement and prioritization of the joy of the process in the moment. It depicts my ‘creative’ memory of Aberdeen Avenue looking west towards my building and our window. It started with paper and watercolor, and ended up on a computer, and I ended up with a piece that seems to express something about home and finding refuge in a hard and challenging world. And so with that theme I wish you a warm, happy, and celebratory ’35th’ birthday this year! And though I still seriously cannot remember how old you are, I hope that you have at the very least, moments of youthful inspiration, wild abandon, and joy in another year of life.
